Questions

What is a shard?

One shard is one step Nebula takes in your project: a UEFN edit, a Blender action, a file edit or a command. Messages aren't counted. A typical task is about 50 shards and a big feature is 100 to 200. Failed UEFN calls are free.

Do I need a Claude subscription?

Yes, Claude Pro or Max. Nebula runs the official Claude Code on your own Claude subscription, so AI usage isn't part of Nebula's plans or packs. You sign in to Claude Code yourself, and Nebula never reads or stores your Claude credentials.

How do the free shards work?

Every UEFN Collective member gets 500 free shards, one time: join the Collective on Discord, then sign in with Discord in the Nebula app. Getting verified on VerifyUGC adds 1,000. Each friend who sets up Nebula with your link adds 250, then 250, then 500 for the third. Your link is in the app. Free shards come once per Discord account and per PC, and the Discord account needs to be at least 30 days old.

Do I need a plan to use my free shards?

No. Free shards are yours whether or not you ever pick a plan, and they don't expire. A plan adds shards every month, and Nebula spends those first.

What happens when I run out of shards?

She stops taking steps until you have shards again. Plans refill on your billing date. Need more sooner? Buy a shard pack, or move to a bigger plan from your dashboard.

What does Nebula install?

The Nebula app and the official Claude Code, unmodified. What Nebula installs lists everything and how to remove it.
